House season 4 thread - Page 5

Re: House season 4 thread

I'd be mean to 13, too if it meant a spanking from her in the near future.

Gear mentioned in this thread:

House, M.D. - Season One
House, M.D. - Season Two
House, M.D. - Season Three

Re: House season 4 thread

Pretty solid episode, between the quest for cable, the south pole case, and the hunt for the new lady in Wilson's life.

Re: House season 4 thread

The ending reveal with Wilson dating Cutthroat Bitch was fantastic. What a shocker. I really liked the episode in general, in particular the scene with the lymph node scene via iChat in House's apartment which was far more tender than this series usually allows for. I liked that Cameron actually got a storyline this week, but I wish it'd gotten resolution instead of just being dropped with House's dismissal.

Re: House season 4 thread

Wilson had better be careful. Is Amber looking for some payback on House through Wilson?

Re: House season 4 thread

There's nothing good on network, except on Tuesdays.

Re: House season 4 thread

Great episode, and as a guy with a long time crush on Mira Sorvino watching her fondle herself for nodes was very erotic, well, as erotic as something like that gets on network television that is.

Re: House season 4 thread

I had my DVR set to record this episode, but it started at the scheduled time so recorded the end of the Super Bowl instead. I guess it did catch some of the episode but I just went ahead and deleted it since I couldn't see the whole thing. Any one know if they are re-airing this soon?

Re: House season 4 thread

I was expecting a DVR problem so I padded the Super Bowl 30 minutes and House an extra hour. As women have known for years a little extra padding can work wonders.

Re: House season 4 thread

Yeah, when your dealing with events like the Superbowl you should never expect the show that follows to start on time, it almost never does. It's like when I DVR The Amazing Race, I always record 60 Minutes too because TAR never starts on time.

Re: House season 4 thread

Why would you record 60 minutes, TAR will never start early, you need to be recording Cold Case to get all of TAR during football season. But I digress.

So, will we ever see an episode where House and the shrink meet face-to-face down the line?

Re: House season 4 thread

Well what was more annoying for me was because I'm in the Boston area, there was an extra half hour of post-game shows even though all they kept doing was repeating "the players and fans have all disappeared in a hurry" etc. And then after waiting a half hour extra when people in other areas had seen most of it, Fox had already switched off the HD, and so we only got a SD feed.

Yes yes, my mistake, it is Cold Case that I record, I got confused there because when the time comes for TAR to start I always get the remainder of 60M.

I'm going to miss this show again. I still don't believe CTB has changed, but it'll be fun to see the fallout when Wilson and CTB break up. Cuddy's scene with Wilson was also good for a laugh.

House's last line to 13 cracked me up hard. "You do it both ways, right?" Oh damn, good stuff. 13's reaction to Foreman when he deduces her bi-ness was really good.

Me too. Now that the cast has stabilized again, we're returning to a real examination of the characters. A new wrinkle in the House-Wilson dynamic was added tonight, as the smile on Wilson's face at the end made clear. I didn't buy Taub's sudden investment into his Jewishness via proxy of the patient, but I did buy Taub's desire for that investment.

She's turning out to be one of the great characters on the show. Each week we get a new detail that spins her in a slightly different but entirely cohesive direction. I loved the scene when Foreman outed her, because it showcased once again how finely honed observational skills become working under House. I equally loved the scene when House outed her, infinitely more subtly. I almost bought that look of innocence until he winked behind her back.

My favorite scene, though, was the one with Chase back in the theory room. House's frustration at not being able to solve the case, and moreover his frustration at not being able to call on familar assets, was palpable. It signaled that Chase and Cameron might again have a significant role to play on that show.

Re: House season 4 thread

I know this sounds shallow but dammit I don't care, 13 is one of the most attractive women on television and I find myself getting lost in her face everytime she's onscreen. It's actually quite distracting, when they show her all I can do is imagine how many ways I can nibble and kiss those lips of hers.

And of course finding out she's bisexual is so hot.

I must admit that I really didn't get most of the more philosophical aspects of tonights ep, in fact most of it went over my head and so I just concentrated on the case, that and 13's bright, gorgeous eyes.

Okay i'll stop now, i've said too much already lol.

I'm assuming that all are aware that the bride was Sarah Silverman's big sis, Laura?

Re: House season 4 thread

Alright, the bitch is back!

I didn't think it was possible for 13 to get any hotter, but somehow Foreman made her so with one little word. Her scenes with Cameron and Cuddy are going to be much more fun to watch from now on.

"You're sleeping with me!"

(This really cracked me up because once in college one of my best friends - who had just gone through a bad break-up as had I - said to me, "You know both our lives would be a lot simpler if one of us had managed to be female.")

Yeah, the Mia Sorvino physical was remarkably sexy, given what can and can't be shown on network TV. Of course, the suggestion of nudity, or even no nudity at all can be much more erotic than wall-to-wall nudity. Compare the film Palmetto which features Elizabeth Shue, Gina Gershon and Chloe Sevigny, with Showgirls, which features Gina Gershon, Elizabeth Berkley and a host of hot Vegas dancers. I don't think there is a single frame of nudity in Palmetto, but it is fiercely erotic (I think all of Elizabeth Shue's wardrobe is a size too small throughout.) Showgirls makes all that naked flesh boring. (If you want to see Elizabeth Berkley really throwing off some erotic sparks, you need to watch her interrogation scene in the CSI episode "Lady Heather's Box". It is a safe-for-TV homage to Sharon Stone's famous scene from Basic Instinct and arguably sexier than the original.)

I thought leaving the white socks on actually added to that and then it turned out to be a plot point. (There is often something sexier about a woman wearing a little clothing rather than being totally nude. Cf. Randy Newman, "You Can Leave Your Hat On." )

Check the listings for USA network and Universal HD (if you get it.) I just noticed that Universal HD is re-airing House episodes - "It's a Wonderful Life" airs later this week. Don't know if USA also has these "encore" episodes. Or you can download episodes from Amazon Unbox, which is what I did with "Wonderful Life" a couple of days before seeing that listing, having flat-out forgotten to record it. It costs about two bucks.

Joe

The "Frozen" episode (shown after Super Bowl XLII) will be rerun on Fox on this Friday night, look in your local listings for the hour of the re-airing.

It should be CB - "Cutthroat Bitch" not CTB "Cut Throat Bitch"

"I just saw Amber dropping Wilson off."
House: "The man always drives the woman."

I think that House was genuinely concerned that CB wasn't right for Wilson, so he was deliberately testing both of them (and enjoying it, of course). When he realized that maybe the relationship had a chance he let it go, with his enigmatic smile.

Kind of an odd episode, but loved House frakkin' with his team of idiots. Plus House and CTB's fight for Wilson's time/etc. was silly but funny.

Re: House season 4 thread

I guess someone should start a Season 5 thread.

Just checked with Fox and it's still Season 4 - bloody writer's strike!

Yeah, it was a strange episode - not that funny, maybe they're running out of ideas. Kal Penn is quite annoying and always seems like he's reading his lines off a prompter.

The Wilson custody battle sets up for some fun, I guess, but could get old fairly quickly.

Do we know if Cam and House ever hooked up? I'm drawing a blank on that tidbit.

Re: House season 4 thread

We don't, although I sort of suspect not.

It looks like the strike gave the writers some time to think about how to use all the characters - there was stuff for teams old and new, Amber, Cuddy, and Wilson this week.

Re: House season 4 thread

The flip side being that nobody outside of House gets much screen time.

I don't necessarily see this as a bad thing. After all, I never put down a Sherlock Holmes story and said, damn, we didn't see much of Inspector Lestrade or Mrs. Hudson in this one.

Re: House season 4 thread

Another great episode. "31" and more single-entendre with the lovely 13, the custody battle over Wilson, and another great outfit from Cuddy. House is back!

Even House called Cutthroat Bitch, "CB", so I think this matter is officially settled.

Like Jason said, we don't explicitly know one way or the other. There were one or (two?) episodes at the end of season 1 (before Stacy reappeared) were they dated but there was never any suggestion of a physical relationship, if I recall correctly.

Re: House season 4 thread

Do a google search for "cb house" and you won't find much, but then do a google search on "ctb house" and you find that other fans use "CTB" for Wilson's new squeeze, and House's latest nemesis.
