Whats taking so long for season 4 of mannix to get released

Maybe the selling numbers for Season 3 were bad?

We are also waiting for other CBS shows such as "Cannon, Vega$, Matt Houston, Hotel, Jake and the Fatman and so on ....

Man, I thought if there was going to be a season 4 we'd hear about it by now...

You can hear a pin drop in hear here!

[edit] LOL, unintentional pun!]

I would think Mannix is doubtful for 2010 and maybe we will hear something for 2011. 2010 has been a slow year for releases compare to previous years.

It's apparent that CBS is streching out the classic releases.

what the heck is taking so long to release 4 of mannix

That's the big question. I wish I knew the answer!

With the Region 1 sets of The Fugitive: Season Four - Volume One and Beverly Hills 90210: The Final Season coming out in November, I'm hoping Mannix: The Fourth Season is also being released in November. But I doubt it.

I just called CBS 212-975-4321 and added my voice. If they put out stuff like 90210...surely Mannix can't be left on the shelf??!! Just curious...why do you 'doubt it'?

I guess season 1-3 must not have sold to what they thought for additional releases to come out. I would also like to see Today's FBI, which also had mike conners.

The reason why I 'doubt it' is because a few classic TV shows appear to have stalled, and there has been no new news about them for a long while.

nice to see they're keeping up the bullets on the cover. 4 down - 4 to go.

Another only month now till the Region 1 release of the fourth season of Mannix. cool.gif I'm keeping my fingers crossed CBS DVD release both the fifth and sixth seasons as well in 2011.

If we buy Season 4, then we´ll get Season 5 and so on.....

I´ve just ordered Season 4 from Axelmusic. Then I will get it before January 4th.

Mannix: The Fourth Season (Region 1) shipped yesterday. cool.gif Much earlier than the Hawaii Five-O: The Tenth Season set.

Looking forward to reading your review.

I got to within two episodes on the last disc, but I had to put it aside to finish tomorrow. The review should be up tomorrow afternoon.

Mannix: The Fourth Season finally arrived in the post today. thumbsup.gif The presentation of the episode information on the inside of the DVD sleeve is similar in style to the first three season sets (ditto with the rear boxart design).

Excited I should have my season 4 Delivered in the next few days.

I am still watching season 1 + 2 but I buy these as they are released to help sales.

I just received mine yesterday. Opened last night, took disc 1 out, flipped it over and it had circular scratches, more like gouges, about a half inch from the edge.

As expected, it failed 38 minutes into episode 2. Just did the exchange paperwork where I bought it online.

How annoying.

[edit] I should have also mentioned the discs were all inserted into the spindle lock things correctly, this was NOT a disc that got jostled around after it came loose. Disc 6 also had smaller scratches.

I watch the episode 1, because it had Darren McGavin in the episode. I like Darren McGavin, especially as Kolchak. I plan to watch more episodes over the coming months. I usually only watch about 2 maybe 3 hrs of tv a night. So, this will fill up my void for a few weeks.

Damn!

Just got my replacement today and opened it and disc 1 has some slight circular scratches!

Not nearly as bad as the first one I got but GEEZ!

Think I'll wait until tomorrow to test it. Not in the mood for this right now :(

Some of the discs in my copy of the Mannix: Season 4 set have had scratches and marks on them. And yet no discs were loose inside the DVD case.

Now yes, this is not the TV series Mannix, but the next bit of Mannix being released on DVD (hope the fifth season is announced for release later this year) is an episode from the upcoming Here's Lucy: Season Four DVD set, which is released on Tuesday 29th March. Mike Connors guest stars in the episode "Lucy and Mannix are Held Hostage", which originally aired on CBS on 4th October, 1971. This episode originally aired inbetween the fifth season Mannix episodes "A Step in Time" (29th September, 1971) and "Wine From These Grapes" (6th October, 1971).

Below is the link to the most recent TVShowsOnDVD news article about the fourth season of Here's Lucy on DVD:

See the post above for information on the next bit of Mannix on DVD.

I'm just guessing, but if CBS Home Entertainment don't stall Mannix on DVD again, then I'm hoping the fifth season is released on Region 1 around October/November this year.

Not bad, season 5 is coming July 5th this is great news. thumbsup.gif
