It got a 4.6/8 last week, beating "Til Death" by some margin, and its series premiere carried the timeslot with a 6.0/10. If "Til Death" is sticking around, this one should too.
Ironically, this of all shows — a mult-camera sitcom with laughtrack — is what brought me back to watching Fox on a weekly basis outside of "House" Tuesdays.

I agree. The writing is starting to play more and more off the characters than the specific situations. I love Chuck - self-absorbed and committed only until it gets inconvenient:
"I'll be there!" "Great, it's at 7:45 am." "Ooooooh...." That conversation said so much about their characters. That her list of responsibilities would work on him, and that she knew it would work on him. I wonder how many of those activities Gracie's actually actively involved with. The "not with you I'm not" line afterward rung so true to my own mother.

Marsh is just flat out hilarious. He's an anacronism that never quite got flushed out.

and Gary Crezyzewski demo reel was hilarious.
Especially liked the "He asks the tough questions"..."How much does this pumpkin weigh?" |
*thinks back to a news broadcast in Albany over the summer*
Reporter: I'm here as the Mobil Mart at so and so avenues where gas prices have gone up three cents today.
*b-roll of people filling up their tanks*
*close-up of microphone in guy's face as he fills up his tank*
Reporter: How do you feel about the price of gas going up three cents?
Customer at Pump: I don't like it.
*wide shot of the reporter in front of the gas station*
"Back to you, Lydia."
... Yeah, Crezyzewski just about gets it on the mark.

I agree 100 percent. Even the more stock sitcom characters like the weather whore and the geeky station manager were more enjoyable tonight: "Four and a half minutes? Who the hell yells it out every thirty seconds?"
