Those double feature discs all over the place these days

Has anybody found anything decent that isn't a screw-up?

Like most of the bargain hunters here, I have most of the better titles already as they have mostly bin in the WM bins over the years. But occasionally there's a combo that I don't already have both titles. Haven't yet seen one of them that doesn't have one movie in anamorphic WS and the other in FS. Or both just described as WS (and I know non-anamorphic transfers exist). Or in some cases doesn't even mention the AR, which means FS to me (since people who buy FS don't really care what the AR is, so why mention it??) Or that have one total dog (by any standard) with one half-decent movie. Yeah, it's marketing, by why mix the aspect ratios? I guess these are obviously not targeted at me, but I can't help wasting my time looking at them all. I suppose I'm ranting because I like a bargain and these I have to pass by...

I just saw a double feature of Signs and The Village.
Signs was anamorphic widescreen.
The Village was full-screen.

It's terrible...I had to pass and I decided to buy each movie separately to get both in widescreen. It's hard to believe that people will buy this double feature that way...

...but most people probably don't even know they have other options...they'll pick it up look at the price and say cooooooool...I always wanted these movies....

I picked up The Hidden/The Hidden 2 double feature, because it was only $7.99 $Cdn. Still haven't gotten around to watching The Hidden 2, but both features are widescreen 16:9 enhanced.

I got 48 Hours/ Another 48 Hours and they are both anamorphic widescreen and look pretty good for their age. I'm looking forward to Arnold's Comedy Classics triple feature with the first ever anamorphic Kindergarten Cop.

I finally picked up THE PRODUCERS (1968) and it was paired with the non-anamorphic GUYS AND DOLLS which was, at least, properly framed. I thought that was a good deal.
