I've seen at least on Emerson who has been a member here since 1970.

Maybe that was HERE

Is it true, Tony, that it is the memory that's first to go?!?  confused.gif

"Emerson?!?"

I thought memberships went back to the late '60s?

Though there are rumors of a couple of guys who joined shortly after the trans-continental Telegraph went up.

I know of a Lake and a Palmer who were also from 1970. Weird.

Hah, well when I said I use the iPad I did warn about unusual words and spellings popping up.

At least all the "B's" show up.

It's been a while since I've visited, but I'm pretty sure I fit in the 10+ category now. It doesn't specify the day anymore, but I actually joined HTF on 9/10/2001. Yep, just one day before.

You're such a Lucky Man. biggrin.gif

This post is brought to you by a lowly member with less than 9,000 posts. Will anyone even read it?

You've got us on seniority, so I think so. Your post count is probably a matter of only speaking when you have something to say. The rest of us just pop off whenever something pops into our heads. redface.gif

Even this post I started is getting old now. - jeez... Maybe I should go find the "thread killer" post and bring it back from the dead too.

Not sure how long it's been for me.

EDIT: close to 10 years! Although I feel like the forum doesn't have near as many posters frown.gif

Dr. Joe

I used to be concerned I was THE thread killer.  But, in this case, I was actually the thread reviver.

I don't think it's possible to be both.

I passed 12 years recenly.

Hopefully contributed in my small part to the demise of Circuit City. Hammered in not buying chopped movies, only getting letterboxed and widescreen films and televisions to my family and friends. Sadly many of them did get widescreen TVs, but all they care about is filling the screen, so they're filled with distorted, short little wide people. Ugh.

Ironically, due to illness, I won't be able to get a true HDTV until early next year, but at least I'll know how to format and enjoy it properly. Luckily it's not all that bad now anyhow, since most channels broadcast letterbox, which looks pretty good on my 36" CRT television.

Switched to Dish a few years ago and can actually say for the first time I really like a company, their service, equipment, customer service, etc.

On the other hand, down, way down with Comcast, Company sucks and is a major ripoff in every way possible. Will never, ever go back to them again.

I guess I'm officially in the 10year club though I'm nearly certain I've been here a lot longer than that. Either I had another user name under my old email account (either my old
compuserve email name or my dial up account) or something got erased from the old archives.

I'd be interested in knowing when I first joined though I'm not sure how I'd track down that information. Any of the Mods or Owners have access to the old user names?
I might be able to remember something from back in the stone ages.

Since we've both got October 2001 next to our names, David...I'll pass along your request to the owners.  I've got no inside info to help you out.

We'll see if they can figure anything out.

David-

I am showing your join date on your current account as:

2001-10-13 05:00:00+00

To look up an old account I would need either the username or the email address tied to it.

Doesn't say it anymore but I'm certain today's 12 years since I joined officially. I'm sure I joined before that but can't prove it.
