1. A pictures tab will appear when you sync the ipod touch to iTunes. You can select photos there.

2. The internet connection is wifi which you set it up like any other wifi connection - you just need a wireless access point.

It looks like I got it connected via my wireless router here at home but it's showing a lock symbol and I cannot figure out how to unlock it.

Thanks for your help.

Ron, I think the lock symbol means that you have security on your router (makes sense). There should be a way to have the Touch remember the password to your router. My iPhone remembers mine, but it's been a while since I set it up so I don't remember exactly how I did it. Probably in Settings.

Ron:

Did you secure your wireless network with a password? Just like any other device connecting to your wireless network like a laptop, etc. if you have WEP or some other type of security on your wireless network you are going to need to put in any type of password you may be set up with it.

I love my 32G Touch. Any other rumors on the new version having a built in mic? The reason that I ask is that 3.0 OS for the touch as a recorder program built in with no mic. I hope they include a camera, mic, more memory and an OLED screen with the next version.

Yes I did, but when I try to access the net via the iTouch it does not ask me for a password. I just cannot find where to input the password.

Ron, from the first panel, select settings.  Then select Wi-Fi, you should see your router listed (plus maybe others)  Just click on yours and it should prompt you for the password, after that you are set, the iPod will remember it so you do not have to do it again, it will just always connect to your router if it sees it.

Got it! Thanks for your help all. Now, is it possible to send text/receive text messages?

You can send a text message to someone from a webpage that allows you to do tat (or perhaps there is an app) but you cannot receive any text message (again, unless there is an app for that, not something I ever looked into)

It's not true text messaging but there is an AIM app...
I use the AIM app and there are some others in the App store that will allow you connect with your AIM, ICQ, Facebook, etc. connections. The one that I have used is IM+.

I really like the AIM app. You just put in your contacts phone number with a +1 in front of the area code and phone and if they accept the text on their end you can text back and forth no problem.

What I have been hearing is that the next version of the iTouch will have a camera and mic built in. Hopefully we can then do video as well as with iChat. They need to make the camera in the unit so that it will take a pic forward as well as backward.
