Red vertical line in Sony KDL-32S2000 screen

Hi all,

My mother-in-law's Sony KDL-32S2000 just went off its 1-year warranty a week ago. I noticed a fine red vertical line in the picture today, mainly visible when certain colors are displayed.

Is this something that we should push for warranty repair--or are we out of luck? Is it likely a sign of further problems?

I would give it a try, i.e. taking it in for warranty repairs now anyway. Nothing to lose. The sooner the better since the longer it is past the official expiration date of the warranty, the less likely you will succeed.
