A not-so-subtle "hint" is dropped at the bottom of this Criterion Eclipse newsletter in the Trivia Contest section:

Re: WHITE DOG coming via Criterion

Excellent news! I've wanted this title on DVD for a long time, and an Eclipse series release will do nicely.

Just to clarify, the not-so-subtle hint appeared in the Eclipse newsletter to tie in with this months Eclipse release, "The First Films of Samuel Fuller." White Dog will NOT be an Eclipse release. It will be a full Criterion release with all of the accompanying bells and whistles.

Wonder if the Televista release on 9/11 will be pulled? Let's hope so, as I'd hate to see criterion lose sales due to this bootleg outfit.

Favorite weird non-sequitur line from that movie. Burl Ives declaring: "Sour cream-- love it!"

I think I'll settle for that.

It took a year, but this, for me, is the best news EVER - my favorite Fuller film, a work of brilliance in every department. Hopefully whatever elements there were were good enough to get a pristine image. To finally have this in its proper ratio, presumably off the negative or close to it, I can finally put away my copy made from the Z Channel.

Re: WHITE DOG coming via Criterion

Fantastic news! Fuller is a fave director, and I've been wanting to see this since seeing that superb documentary "The Typewriter, The Rifle and The Movie Camera"

Be nice if Criterion could get those other 2 as well.

PARK ROW has never been out on homevideo. I think MGM owns it. It would be nice to get VERBOTEN! and RUN OF THE ARROW out on dvd (RKO via WB?)
