Maybe La La Land will do two disc sets of Fred Mollin's scores for VII and VIII or Manfredini's scores for Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X.


Wasn't expecting the Friday the 13th I-VI set to be sold out as quick as the expanded Die Hard score/soundtrack. But the horror film series has it's fans.

 

Am hoping myself that an expanded version of the soundtracks for Parts VII and VII is released.

Absolutely, I think the music is so important in a film, it really adds to the emotional drive of the film. When I read the title of this thread I though immedaitely of the Lord of the Rings soundtrack by Howard Shore. I love his choice of instrument for each location/race of peoples visited in the film, its so subtle it took a lot of listening for me to realise how clever it is.

I'll add it to the LaLaLand thread, but they will be releasing an expanded edition of John Williams excellent score to Hook (not a great movie). Go listen to the track Flight to Neverland and that will make you want to own the entire score. Target release day is March 27.

Not sure who would own the rights to the instrumental music, but would like to suggest a score/soundtrack boxset of the five Death Wish (1974-1994) films for possible release. Thought there might have been an LP release of the soundtrack to the first Death Wish film, as I can remember seeing front cover artwork for an album on Screen Archives. Have checked on Screen Archives, and there's a soundtrack album available to purchase which has the scores to Death Wish 4: The Crackdown and four other films.
