what happened to the Haitian? Did he go away after erasing Peter's memories?
We saw in an earlier episode that he got the virus -- but not how? -- and Mohinder went to cure him in Haiti. But I don't recall seeing him after that.

Hey Ken, re: your reply to my post in the Chuck thread...or anyone else that wants to chime in...if the strike is settled soon, we'll we get Volume 3 - Villains during Spring 08? Or would that not be possible since they'd need more time to start filming?

It depends on who is working the transporter controls? Oops, wrong show.

Assuming the strike ends relatively soon, there will be episodes in the spring. If the strike lasts months, NBC could end the season with this most recent episode. Since the strike isn't resolved, there's no way to know what's going to happen with this show or any other.

Re: Heroes Season 2 thread

Did anyone else mentally start to hear Hiro say:
"My name is Hiro Nakamora, you killed my father, prepare to die!"

The first time it happened on the subway, Peter hadn't been exposed to Hiro yet.

I'd argue that he would've been exposed there and then, and immediately absorbed Hiro's power, allowing him to be immune to the time-freeze. After all, earlier this season he had absorbed Elle's power without even knowing about it, and reflexively threw lightning bolts. Alternatively, of course, I do wonder if Hiro can select someone to be immune to the time-freeze as well? Though we've never seen that done.

In which case, future Hiro must have known that Peter was (or would be) able to withstand a time-freeze, otherwise future Hiro would have been talking to a statue. Alternatively, I suppose future Hiro could in any case have located Peter and then unfroze time to speak to Peter normally.

My head hurts...

Re: Heroes Season 2 thread

Given the relationship between their "parents", how do we know that Hiro and Peter didn't meet?

He was exposed to future Hiro right at that moment and therefore he absorbed his power (without knowing) thus becoming immune to the time-freeze. IMO at least.

Why would Hiro freeze Peter when he's come there specifically to speak with him?

Future Hiro knew that Peter was immune to him freezing time from their post-nuclear adventures together. Therefore he was able to teleport into the subway car without worrying about Peter being frozen like everybody else.

This is exactly how I figured it as well.

I don't think this is true. Peter phased through the ropes when he was tied up at the Irish pub.

A couple of other points: Why does Niki say that being a hero is what got her husband killed? Being a hero isn't what killed him. Being married to a nut job is what killed him.

Also, I don't get this discussion about whether Peter's or Hiro's ability allowed Peter to remain unfrozen in time outside the safe. I think it's obvious. Hiro wasn't there to talk to Peter. He was there to do away with Adam. Peter opposed Hiro. Hiro allowing Peter to remain unfrozen, balking his quest, would be like strapping on a ball and chain just before starting a foot race. Sure, you could do it if you wanted to, but why would you?

And when he was killed, he wasn't really doing anything heroic (at least not like taking a bullet from Linderman or saving a kid in a burning house). He just crossed the wrong guy and got shot. It was rather mundane way for the character to die.

Re: Heroes Season 2 thread

Has anyone heard of a time frame for season II to be on DVD?

Re: Heroes Season 2 thread

Imagine that's up in the air with the writer's strike and season 2 only half complete.

Re: Heroes Season 2 thread

Assuming the strike ends, I'd say you'll see the S2 DVDs in late August or early September again.
