Vista Sortcut Icon !@#$?

Has anybody figured a way to either change or remove the arrow icon that indicates a short cut. They are so large they cover 1/4 of the icon. It was much smaller in XP and it was changeable. Any ideas ?

Do a simply Google search on "Removing Windows Vista Shortcut Arrows" and you will find plenty of How To pages.

I found a neat little program called FxVisor from FrameWorkx http://www.frameworkx.com/Frameworkx...on.aspx?id=632 Works very well, it will allow you to use a smaller overlay or none at all.
