Restore lost in XP. How do I restore...Restore?

Got corrupted somewhere along the line. Any ideas on how to revive it?

Scooter,

Are you speaking of System Restore?

If you are it is located in Control Panel, click on the System icon and there will be a tab called System Restore. There are options there for turning it on and off.

If it has been corrupted then you may need to turn it off, reboot your machine and then go back in and turn it on. This should clear and then recreate the System Restore area on your hard drive.

Thanks for responding. When I click it, I get a window that states the PC wants to send a message to MS about a problem. So, I figure I have to reinstall it.
