Bose 701 subwoofers stopped working

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
The powered sub woofers in my Bose 701s have stopped working. The power cable works fine so I know it's not that. Could this be a blown fuse? If so does anyone know if this is an easy thing to repair/figure out? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Talk to Bose. I think most people around here only know how to fix Bose products by hitting them with a large sledgehammer or an ax. Or burning them in effigy.

How long have you had your 701's for? I've had mine for about 7 years now and I'm getting rid of them soon so that I can get some money for them and not have to get them fixed like you. I'm sure if you took them back to where you got them from, they'd be able to help. With that being said though, they'll prob talk you into upgrading your current Bose with some new ones. Stay away from Bose! I have;

Fronts: Bose 701
Rear Center: Bose VCS 10
Rear: Bose 301

There are way better speakers out there and usually have the price of Bose.
