HARRY POTTER in IMAX Aspect Ratio?

I saw HARRY POTTER & THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX in IMAX and have a serious aspect ratio concern.

Although the film AR is 2.35 with 35mm anamorphic prints, the IMAX image looked closer to 2.0. I would suppose that IMAX knocks off some image off the sides to get to a 2.0 image.

Anyone have a definitive answer on this dilemma?

Nothing definitive but it looked like 2.35:1 to me.

It was definitely shown 2.35:1 letterboxed within the IMAX 1.44:1 frame at my IMAX theater.
