Disney Shows That would make a great Season releases

Why do Disney seem to release most of the shows in volume sets with 4 random episodes recent shows include That's So Raven, Hannah Montana etc. D

Shows I would love to see include

Hannah Montana (2006)
American Dragon: Jake Long (2005)
The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody (2005)
That's So Raven (2002)
Kim Possible (2002)
House Of Mouse (2001)
Lizzie McGuire (2001) - desperate for a complete season release
Proud Family, The (2001)
101 Dalmations: The Series (1997)
Smart Guy (1997)
Brand Spanking New Doug (1996)
Quack Pack (1996) - All released so far is 3 random eps
Flash Forward (1996)
Timon & Pumbaa (1995)
Aladdin (1994)
Thunder In Paradise (1994) - With Hulk Hogan
Bonkers (1993)
The Little Mermaid (1992)
Goof Troop (1992) - More than 3 eps
Raw Toonage (1992)
New Adventures Of Winnie the Pooh (1988)

i must be one of the few that loves kiddy shows lol and am nearly 23 oh well.

I agree completely. My young son enjoys Suite Life and That's So Raven and sometimes Hannah Montana and I watch Phil of the Future occasionally.

I would purchase season sets of these shows, but random episode DVDs are hardly worth a second look, much less a purchase.

Naw, dont give me that new stuff. I'd murder to finish up the Elfago Baca (and the Swamp Fox, too - but as much, mind you) series. That stuff was DOPE!

Agreed. I'd purchase any number of these shows IF they were in sets AND priced at $19.99 US. That is where the value is. I'm sure they could sell a lot of set at that price. Stupid having set prices in the stratosphere like Deadwood etc.
Disney could take a lead in reasonably priced sets. Unlikely I'm sure, but it would be nice.
Any number of them can be had on the black market, so Disney should step in and make a quality product set. There is a market.

I also agree the single disc entries are just stupid and not worth a glance. If they are using that old model as a gage, it is outdated. We do not want to double dip at all any more. If aa company believes enough in its product tp get it on the tube, then they should bet on selling it to a loyal following in complete season disc set. If they do that at a reasonable price, they will succeed.

Lizzie McGuire did have a volume one set that included the first 22 episodes of the show. They must not have sold at Disney's expectation level.

I'd buy The Little Mermaid, 101 Dalmations and Aladdin. My daughter loved all of those. She still watches them occasionally.

with the news that Hannah Montana - Season 1 is being released it gives me hope that The Suite Life Of Zack and Cody or That' So Raven may be next for season releases

I think they've gotten somewhat better with season releases; I know they did some of DuckTales. I do wish they'd release all of Aladdin and Lilo & Stitch--good stuff, there.

"Flash Forward" had a season run, a cult following, and several of them are now working (or have worked in the case of Amanda Tapping) on Stargate SG-1/Stargate: Atlantis.

I wish Disney would license this out.

I'd just like to see a collection of the Mickey Mouseworks shorts that were made during the late 90's early 2000's (the House of Mouse show was filler between the cartoons). Some were OK, but a few were quite good. I'd like to see them put out in one shot.

I wish Herbie, the Love Bug would get released on DVD. I'm such a big Herbie fan and own all 6 movies, but have NEVER seen the 5-episode 1982 TV series.

Wow, I (vaguely) remember that series. Saw it when I was a kid and loved it, but I strongly suspect it's one of those shows that wouldn't hold up when watched as an adult.

never been a fan of any of these shows, but I am stunned Disney hasn't released an Even Stevens DVD yet to capitalize on Shia Le Beauf's post-Disney success

When I was a kid in the 70's, Disney ran an anthology series composed of hour-long episodes every Sunday night- I believe on NBC. I think it was called The Wonderful World Of Disney.

They should release THAT forgotten series on DVD! It was the best thing Disney ever made. It was the only Disney product I ever cared for; I never liked Disney's movies of cartoons (even as a kid) but that anthology was tops!!

Yes, I watched that as a child as well. I recall one of the features being a 'scarecrow'-related episode; I think it was a three-parter. I found it to be quite frightening for the time.

I'm surprised this thread made it this far without someone bringing up Honey, I Shrunk The Kids: The TV Show. It lasted for three seasons (66 episodes) and would make great season set releases, especially considering the recognition because it's associated with the movies. There are some songs that would need to be cleared, but not an overwhelming number...

Disney don't seem to be releasing many TV releases of late focusing on re-releasing disney movies over and over again. Would love to see some of the shows listed above get season releases

The thing is, since these shows are aimed at kids, the vast majority aren't interested in "season sets". Most just want, if at all, a few episodes on DVD.
