How to Fix a Wii Controller

The motion sensor in our Wii controller stopped working. Couldn't win any boxing fighting left handed. I called Nintendo for support. I was instructed to:
  1. Hold the controller buttons facing down.
  2. Bang it hard on my other hand or knee.
That did the trick! I have used the banging method in the past on other things, but this was a first for tech support to recommend it.

There is a little gyro inside the units that can get stuck if banged hard enough. They were just having you "pop it back into place"
