DS Lite not powering up

Its just a bit over a year old and was never dropped or anything. Well, if u try and turn it on, it won't even light up. I stick in the power adaptor thinking its low battery issue. Nothing. I emailed Nintendo like 3 weeks ago with no answer. Any of u guys have any insight?

I had an issue with my son's DS Lite not taking a charge, even when left plugged in all night. Regardless of how long the little LED would indicate low charge. The unit was only a few months old at that point. Ended up being the AC adapter. Bought one at Bestbuy on the advice of one of the employees, who said to test it and see if it worked, then return it and take it up with Nintendo. Ended up keeping since I didn't want to go through the (assumed) hassle of dealing with them. Has worked fine ever since.
