Hey all,
I recently moved and had to buy a new wireless router (the old one belonged to my room-mate). Anyway, the old one was a netgear router and I was able to connect the PS3 to the internet just fine.
My new router (a D-Link) unfortunately is not working with the PS3.
I seem to have all of the input settings correct but the PS3 refuses to connect. At first it would not even find the ip address but then I did that manually. Now it finds the ip but fails in the connect to internet stage.
I even tried to take the router out of the equation and connected the PS3 directly to my modem using an ethernet cable and that didn't work either.
Has anybody experienced this and if so, how can I rectify this aside from dragging my PS3 to my old room-mate's place to get the updates and new downloads?
