Re: Tori Amos: American Doll Posse
I do think, despite their differences, that Tori is at times truly brilliant. And there have been moments on her past few albums that have stood out as incredibly beautiful. Tori's performance on Dave Letterman immediately following Sept 11 of "Time" (

But this Album has some really great moments, and some moments that made me go "what" ?
Boys For Pele is a great album, but to me, her greatest album is still "Under the Pink" because as an entire album there are almost no "misses" and every track feeds so well into others.
This is where she really needs a better producer then herself. I'm not saying she run back to Eric Rosse, but if Tori had the right producer, the right album manager, it would make a great differences. Songs that get on the album would become treasured B-Sides and the albums would be tighter, better laid out, and stronger.
Just my opinion. I still really look forward to seeing her live in concert again. Tori is one of the very few artists I've ever seen live that I thought was considerably better live then on any recording I've heard.
