Just picked this CD up. So far, I really like it. It's got a very '80's "vibe" to it yet it sounds fresh and not dated. From just a few tracks, I hear a strong old school Michael Jackson, Prince vibe to it. According to what I've read, the band listened to older MJ, Prince and Talking Heads albums to get a reference for how they want the album to sound. Apparently, Quincy Jones' production was a major influence on them. I really think this CD is gonna blow up because it can work both at home (for the music fan) and in clubs (for that crowd).
Also, I got my copy at Best Buy for $10 and that includes a 2nd disc with 2 bonus tracks. A damn good deal IMO.
