The Dead Zone season 6 - Page 2

Re: The Dead Zone season 6

My mind must be going numb. I watched every single episode of the last season this summer and now I can't remember what happened.

How was the armageddon storyline resolved? And I remember Johnny's dad making an appearance during the last episode but how did that season end again?

In any case, I'm sad to see shows I've followed from the beginning go out like that. A 2 hr movie would be nice to tie everything together.

BTW, here's the link about the cancellation:

I'll spoilerize my response just in case:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The Armageddon storyline was not really resolved at all. During basically the whole season every time Johnny touched Stillson or anyone associated with him he didn't get any doomsday visions. Stillson seemed to have turned over a new leaf. (Unbelivable, huh?) Anyway, Stillson kept getting closer and closer to Sara until the last episode when something happened (for the life of me I can't remember what) and Sara saw him for what he really was and gave him his walking papers. After that Johnny's visions regarding Stillson went back to what they had been all along. That's all I can remember at least about the Armageddon stuff.

Thanks Steve. Wasn't there a little more than that though with regards to resolving the armageddon storyline?

Like you, I can't remember every detail about the last season either. I know there was a lot more to the storyline than my response. I was just trying to give you a "nutshell" answer. I plan to get the 6th season DVDs when they come out (I've got the first 5) and watch them marathon-style. I can usually make more sense of a continuing storyline when I watch all the episodes back to back.

And I appreciate the nutshell answer.

I can't believe they had a whole season to go out with a bang and they didn't take the opportunity.

I think Steve's characterization was accurate, from what I recall. I will also be buying the S6 set when it's released. Any word on whether it's been renewed for another season, since there had been rumors in the past that this one was going to be the last?

Firebee, read my post above. It has a link to a story where it appears it's official that The Dead Zone has been cancelled.

Here's the link again:

Oops! Sorry I'd missed that one...I knew about ``The 4400'' being canceled, and I had a sneaking suspicion that USA was going to (if they already hadn't) cancel ``The Dead Zone'' as well. Sigh. So we'll never really have any resolution of the show now that it has been axed.

Re: The Dead Zone season 6

Anthony Michael Hall talked to Sci-Fi Wire and said there's talk about doing a movie for the series.

First there is talk of a "Jericho" feature, and now "The Dead Zone". Has anyone heard anything on "The 4400"?

It would be nice to have either TV movies or regular feature films for both The Dead Zone and The 4400. We need more closure on these stories.
