A2 arrived today and watched first movie.

I decided to separate fact from fiction and ordered an A2 which arrived today. I fired it up and played King Kong. It was outstanding. The sharper detailed image in 1080i is a substantial improvement over my projector's ability to upres standard DVDs from my old Toshiba sd-1600 dvd player on a 7ft wide screen. It played cleanly through King Kong without a hitch. I will be trying out Hulk tomorrow night. If Kong is any indication of the improvement in picture quality then anyone with a large display will not regret jumping in. Especially when the a2 is hovering around 300.00 at Amazon with free shipping. I was wondering though, where do you find what firmware version you are running at?

Hey Tim,

On the remote, press Setup. Scroll down to General. Click that and then scroll down to Maintenance, Click there and then click Update. Should be some numbers. The first # I think is the latest firmware. Others can chime in to clarify and confirm.

Glad you got the A2. You got a great deal indeed. And yes, front projection with HD DVD looks fabulous.
