Home page not working?

Thread Starter
I was able to get onto the site using the http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htforum/index.php

page, which I found on Google. However, for the past two or three days, the www.hometheaterforum.com link hasn't been working for me, it'll try loading and then time out. This is on Vista with both IE7 and Firefox. Has anyone else had these issues?

I'm having the exact same problem, I thought the site was down for the last two days.

Same problem here if I try to get in thru the "/index.php" portal page.

Otherwise, eveything else comes up fine...

Re: Home page not working?

Home page (portal page) doesn't work for me either. I can access HTF by linking directly to a sub-forum page. However I know the owners prefer using the portal page because it generates revenue for them.

Re: Home page not working?

Parker and the maintenance staff are working very hard - for a couple of days already - to fix a very nasty problem with the image server, which affects almost all functions of the forum. Unfortunately, just when they think they solved the problem, it returns.

The Home Page will not load at the moment. The best way to enter the forum is through the Index Page ("Forum Page") as indicated above already. Although some functions are slow, the forum works. The Status Page is not to be trusted right now.

Note: although things are improving already, you may still get problems when posting a new message (post in an existing thread, or a new thread). This will show by the posting action seemingly never completing. However: the post has been made! You can check that by opening a second browser window (or another tab) and you will find your post. You can even edit it the normal way.

The original posting window will finally "fail" by saying "this page is not accessible". From that moment on it's safe to use that window again, and, as said, you will find your post entered in the forum as it should.

When Parker has more time again, he will certainly explain it all more accurately and better than I try to do now!
