Cheech & Chong's Nice Dreams DVD question

I have the original DVD release of this from 2001 and today browsing at Best Buy, I noticed a version that came out in 2006 with different artwork. Normally, I would assume that's the only difference but they had both versions in the store and the 2001 DVD shows a running time of 87 minutes and the 2006 shows 91 minutes and Anamorphic widescreen. Anyone know if the new one is longer and better quality or is it just packaging mistakes?

Amazon says the old one was fullscreen and the new one is anamorphic widescreen ... but they also list both at 88 minutes. Not sure what to tell you.
