The Shield: Season Six - Page 4

Re: The Shield: Season Six

WoW! No comments about Tuesday's episode.

Wasn't a great episode by any means...that is...until we saw the
very last line (uttered by Shane) in the closing preview for next
week's episode....which is gonna be a DOOZY!

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Corinne's dream was bad, a low point in the series.

The feeling out process between Vic's replacement and Vic was played as well as Claudette could manage it, even if she passed on a whopper of a lie to keep the peace in the strike force. Vic's going to really go ballistic when he finds out that he's being played by Claudette.

Dutch got in a nice slam on Steve (I'm a good father...two times a month).

Vic going nuts after losing a witness was scary, I think he almost pebbled (into the Thing) during his emotional outburst at the hospital.

Next episode is a real good one.

I kinda liked it because it seemed so out of place for The Shield. I don't think I need to see Corrine talking about her dreams every episode but as a strange change of pace, I liked it.

I like Hyatt so far. He seems like the law abiding version of Vic- tough, competent and a guy that you'd want to back you up.

Yeah, my mouth literally fell open when I saw that. I'd guess that he's talking to Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Mara or to himself.
Either way, I'm afraid to see what happens!

Re: The Shield: Season Six

The Hyatt character reminded me of William Peterson (CSI) in "Manhunter" (1986), an early Michael Mann film which pre-dated the more successful "Silence of the Lambs" and also when he was in "To Live and Die in LA".

It's a problem because some of us are ahead on the eps. Europe is actually pre-empting FX with showing new eps of The Shield!! It's on twice a week, and last week's two included the ep you'll see next week (if that makes sense).

Agreed. Worst pre-credits scene EVAH? In fact, I'd say the episode itself was probably the weakest since Season 4.

Yeah, and maybe it would have worked for me if not for the heavy-handed way that he started ranting about the dream. The whole thing just felt drug-out and melodramatic to me.

Yep, and that one ends with an emotional revelation that works far better IMHO.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Oh man I can't wait for next weeks episode... The Shane comment is going to be very interesting..... Can't wait..

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Did you happen to catch Shane holding a gun when he was telling who ever that he killed Lem? I am wondering if Shane off's himself right there.. I got that feeling...

I didn't like the dream sequence either.. nor did I like the outburst by vic.. if he would of not referenced the dream it would of been better.. I agree with that..

Is next week the last episode for this season? It was supposed to be a short season..... I can't remember how many of the episodes we are into this season.

Not as terrible as that prostitue having sex with her pimp in the interrogation room (whose brilliant idea was that?). Dutch strangling cats isn't very far off either.

Nope, this week was the fourth episode and there's going ten total.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Just got around to watching this week's episode on DVR. I agree that it was the weakest of the four episodes so far this season, but man that scene with Vic going apeshit at the end was INTENSE. Also, the preview for next week absolutely had my mouth on the floor. Can't wait for that episode.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Hmmm, didn't see the preview, it wasn't available on, ahem, where I watch from. But reading the comments gets me stoked to watch ep 5 when I get home tonight...

Dam just saw Episode 7 so only 3 to go

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Corinne's dream was wacky but I didn't mind it too much because the expression on everybody else's face was pretty much one of extreme discomfort and embarrassment.

Otherwise, yeah weakest episode of the season so far but it was still good and Vic's outburst at the end was pretty powerful.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Once again, Walton Goggins steals the show... and shows his ass.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

I keep forgetting there are usually only 13 episodes a season.

I suppose that is why I shouldn't be too surprised it's just about over.

What a ride! This show never stops to take a breather.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Shane's "face" work was the most realistic make up combined with acting I have seen in a long time. His pain, both physical and emotional, was literally dripping off the screen. If Walton Goggins does not get an emmy nod after this season, Vic and team should pay em a visit.

I was thinking the same thing when I got done watching this episode. He is very deserving of an Emmy nomination for his work in this show. Overall, I thought the episode was a little slow(all the stuff with the rapist father and the Carl Weathers subplot), but Shane's scenes were absolute gold.

Only 10 episodes this season, though. Next season is 13, though, IIRC.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Having seen the next 2 episodes I can only tell you guys that some of the best acted scenes I have ever seen coupled with the best writing are about to be shown.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Next season?!? I thought this was it...can it be true?

Re: The Shield: Season Six

It is true, they were given another full season to work with.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

Two real OMG moments for those who've seen the penultimate ep (6.09).

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Shane's big mouth, and then the photo! Now the shit is *really* going to hit the fan!

Fantastic.

I agree with this (having seen episodes 6 and 7).

Such a damn fine show

Re: The Shield: Season Six

It looks like Vic has created a monster in Shane. Watching these two go at it is going to make for some interesting television.

I just realized there's only a few episodes left. I don't know if I can wait for next season.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

I did'nt realize there's only 10 episodes this season I've already seen thru ep 9, and what a fantastic set of eps this was.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

UFB....best set of episodes in an already great company of them.

As an aside, the "Rescue Me" promos are really creative. Great music and visuals that would make me want to watch it - the F/X folks are really impressing - network guys need to see how to do it right.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

This season is only 10 episodes?! Crap, I can't get enough of this show. Glad they got another season though.

Re: The Shield: Season Six

WOW, why can't all TV be this good? That face-off between Vic and Shane literally had me sweating. I thought for sure Vic was gonna ice him, but I should've known you can't have everything come to a head like that in episode 6 of the season. All I know is that this season is absolutely incredible and I can't wait to see what happens next.
