Re: Wii games for kids
I haven't played it but Cars (from the Disney film) is out for the Wiiyou might also want to download some of the older Nintendo games from the VC vault..there you would have to use the point cards
Re: Wii games for kids
Warioware might be suitable for a young child. It's composed of a whole bunch of very quick minigames that are done in a rapidfire manner. Nothing in it too complicated to be too frustrating. In addition, it's a good enough game to not just be for kids.Re: Wii games for kids
Thanks for the info guys. We have thought about cars, but wanted some real world user opinions first before spending the cash on a possibly crappy game.I was looking at WW already and that might be on our list, now if they can just come out with DDR...

Re: Wii games for kids
I don't have kids, so I'm not the best judge; however, having played Warioware, I think it might be too fast paced for a four-year-old. While the games are exceedingly simple (lasting, literally, just a few seconds each) and often require only a single motion of the Wiimote, they come at you in VERY fast succession and the player has to intuit what it is he is supposed to do. For me, this seems like something that would be frustrating for a little one.I'd try a rental first, in any case.

Re: Wii games for kids
I just picked up Wii Play and went through the first couple of games. As a standalone, it isn't great, but if you need another Wiimote, it's some nice little games for $10.I bring it up here, however, because I think some of the games in this collection might be OK for a four-year-old, including the Mii matching game.

Mikel, I don't know what kind of 4-year-olds you're hanging around with, but some of those games are way beyond most of them. Call of Duty???
Then again, the OP's 4-year-old is 7 now, so those titles could work. :)
For a 4-year-old, try Wii Music. It's not really a game, but it is pretty neat for young kids to play around with.
The Wii version of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has a special 2-player mode where one player controls a character normally, while the other controls a "drone helper" and only has to point and shoot. It's pretty good for a parent to play together with a youngster.
