Madonna DVD-A?? You think??

A pure DVD-A is highly unlikely, IMHO.

I would wager that a more likely scenario would be a DD 5.1 treatment like Steve Miller's "Fly Like an Eagle". Maybe, just maybe, they would see fit to do a DualDisc with both DD and a real DVD-A track, but as for it being a pure DVD-A disc, I am afraid that that ship has sailed (and sunk!).

Wow, very cool. And Madonna's stuff always seems to sound good to excellent so a 5.1 mix would make such a release even more fun to listen to. I own the Immaculate Collection, Ray Of Light and Like A Virgin and would buy all of these in 5.1 form. On another forum a member said that Madonna supposedly has a directive written into her contracts concerning recording quality.

I'll second this (hopefully DTS will be included to though). With hi-res players being so tricky to set up even for many of us audio nerds, a dvd-video format would sell better I think.* And with the videos that are sure to be included, and she definitely has a lot of good ones, these would take up a lot of space anyway. And btw please don't say the word Dual-you-know-what: that frainkenstein format is almost dead so don't help renew its lifeforce by repeating its name.

* and lower priced players can be a joke: too-high/non-adjustable crossovers set at 120Hz (this is very common), no distance compensation system, etc.

I think Warner will likely do the two-disc CD/DVD-A combos for Madonna like they did for R.E.M. and Depeche Mode.

Personally, as a huge Madonna fan, I am excited. Like A Prayer has been long overdue for a remaster in and of itself

I'll be the first one in line for this. Hopefully Warner will go the route of the Bjork "Surrounded" box, which is a dual disc release, but it's absolutely beautiful.

To have not only all the songs but also the videos remastered in dolby digital and dts would be amazing.

I would love to hear "I'm Breathless" and "Ray of Light" in surround sound.

Erotica is going to benefit the best from this treatment. It’s also my favorite Madonna album.

I hope it's two-discs like the recent Depeche and REM remasters, I don't trust DualDisc
