Director's checklists suffocating the other polls

Thread Starter
I just did a quick survey of the Polls section and found that, of the first 50 most recent threads, 48 are "director's checklists".

Nothing against the checklists - I actually think they're pretty cool - but this makes it very difficult for other types of polls to, er, "breathe". If a half-day goes by without a reply, a non-director poll will be buried alive.

I believe we'd gain much more participation and enjoyment out of the Non-D polls if they were a bit more accessible.

Any chance of splitting these two types of polls into sub-categories?

Thanks,

Jon

Let me talk with the staff before making that sort of decision.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Jon.

I tend to agree with Jon. Unfortunately, the Director, Actor and other types of checklists can't just be in a sub-category, like the Mac one, since that would still have them taking the majority of the main polls page space. With the enormous number of checklists being done these days that really does seem to warrant it's own section.

We agree with you, John.

If we move the checklists we leave a barren area and create
another one.

We felt, at this time, it is not worth the involved effort.

Heh, actually that wasn't what I was thinking. I thought it would be worthwhile to have 2 sections. I definitely understand the enormous amount of work it would take to set up, though.
