Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

Xbox 360 Add-On owner, though I haven't bought many titles:

1. King Kong
2. Batman Begins
3. Phantom of the Opera
4. Children of Men
5. Excalibur
6. V for Vendetta

EDIT: Added my latest purchases. Happy Feet should also be on its way. I am currently thinking of importing The Prestige and Brotherhood of the Wolf, though they may have to wait. Others that are out that I have interest in are 12 Monkeys and The Thing. If Meet Joe Black can be had for $20 in June, I'll probably get that one. Waiting for the Pride & Prejudice announcement so I can get something for my wife . Planet Earth and The Matrix also interest me but price will probably prohibit me from getting either for now.

EDIT: Updating list:
7. The Fountain
8. The Bourne Identity
9. 300

Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

I have every USA released HD DVD title and about 50 BD titles and have watched most at least once.

Some of the concerts, like Chicago/Earth Wind and Fire, The Eagles, Pat Methany, Barry Manilow and some of the classical titles are playing in our store every day. We all love them.

Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

I'm planning on purchasing an XBox 360 with the HD DVD add-on.

My titles so far: (only one. I figure I might as well buy the media before I actually get the player, right?)

1. BATMAN BEGINS (DOP: 04/06/07)
2. The Adventures of Robin Hood (On order)
3. ....

And here's the wishlist:

APOLLO 13
BLACK RAIN
(Really considering purchasing the Japanese version since it contains interviews from the Japanese cast.)
The Bourne Identity (Pondering about keeping my C.E. DVD since it has DTS and certain features. Should I hit up DVDCompare.net?)
The Bourne Supremacy
Casablanca
CASINO
The Chronicles of Riddick: PITCH BLACK
The Chronicles of Riddick
Enter the Dragon
FIREWALL (Can someone PM me the pro's and con's with combo discs? I'm extremely careful with my collection.)
GoodFellas
KING KONG
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - Ultimate Missions Collection
THE MUMMY
THE MUMMY RETURNS
A Scanner Darkly
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Sleepy Hollow (I also see there's a BR version out but doesn't have the DD+ track. Since I'm technically "purple", should I just get the HD DVD anyway?)
THE THING

I'm actually going PURPLE!
And as such, can we have some objective comparisons of films released on both formats for those who're also going purple?

Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

ray, your timing is impeccable because the prices are $100-130ish for the add on instead of the original $200! give it a few weeks =).

Is that for the MSRP? It's actually going to be a couple months before I actually buy both the XBox 360 (going to take advantage of Costco's bundle thing) and the add-on.

Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

I only have 2 titles right now...The HD-A2 I had bought a month ago had a failed firmware update on the 2nd day and had to be sent in for servcing. I just received a brand-new replacement player direct from Toshiba's factory the other day.

1. Charlie & The Chocolate Factory
2. Children Of Men (I've got one of the defective, unplayable discs - I'll be exchanging it tomorrow for a new one, and hopefully pick-up one or 2 new HD DVDs to add to my collection).

Re: HD-DVD owners: What HD-DVD titles do you have?

^ Does "The Game" look decent enough to upgrade from SD-DVD? I have the old non-anamorphic release so I'm still going to get it but I just want to know if the disc was mastered from a good transfer.

My collection is growing, slowly. I ended-up getting a refund for Children Of Men after taking home 2 defective discs and going through another 4 or 5 bad ones at the store (I asked Circuit City to test them on their HD-A2 demo unit and none of them would play!). I will repurchase it once Universal gets working copies into stores.
