Warner Menus

post #1 of 4
Thread Starter
I did a search and found an old thread from back during the launch of HD DVD that hadn't been posted in since July. I think some stuff has changed with Warner menus since then so here's round 2. (obviously I defer to the HTF staff's judgment re: merging).

I only have 2 Warner (BD) so far (A Christmas Story & The Searchers). I don't like the way the menus are done on either of them. Things I don't like;

1 movie starts on load

2 menus look cheap

3 can't access settings from *main* menu

Are all Warner discs like this?

Re: Warner Menus

Yeah, all Warner's menus are like that. I don't like that the movie starts right away, either, but other than that, I do like the layout and setup of the menu itself.

Same here. It is a toss up on whether or not I like the movie starting on load, but I like the layout and look of the menus. I find them very intuitive and easy to use. I would the to be able to select the audio I want befor the film starts, though.

Re: Warner Menus

Yeah, that's how I feel, too. If the film's got a TrueHD track, I'd like to set it before the movie starts. If it's just DD+, I don't really care.
