HBO options Song of Fire and Ice - Page 3

Re: HBO options Song of Fire and Ice

I don't think they'll be elevated that much in age, Jon and Dany and Robb would be 16-18 is my guess, Sansa 14-15, Arya, 12-13, Bran 10-11, I imagine they'll write Rickon out if given a chance--I would.

I believe at the start of AGOT they are:
Robb - 16
Jon - 15
Dany - 14
Sansa - 12
Arya - 9
Bran - 8
Rickon - 3

I guess I was thinking in terms of sexual content and how that would be handled, but now that I think about, with the exception of one underage character already mentioned in this thread, all the other main kids exploits were tamer in comparison.

Cercei Lannister

Tricia Hefler: If you've ever watched Battlestar Galactica (2004), you know how stunningly beautiful she is and how cold and ruthless she can be. These pix don't do her justice.

Whoa, that is a great idea. She is the perfect age for it, too. Hmmm...

Re: HBO options Song of Fire and Ice

I've not been on top of the news for this series, but I was pleasantly surprised this morning to find that I wasn't the only one who thought Hefler would be perfect for Cercei: Winter Is Coming - News and rumors about HBO's Game of Thrones: Helfer talks about "mystery pilot"

Not sure how wide spread the rumors and/or movement to get her this role are, but they are out there...

I think it would be a perfect casting, too.

Re: HBO options Song of Fire and Ice

First two confirmed castings:

Peter Dinklage as Tyrion, and Tom McCarthy will direct the pilot.

I think most would agree that Dinklage is about as perfect as anyone (including Martin, as the author himself has stated) could have hoped for.

More casting news, and I like the big name.  I will have to look around to see if I know the others named but I don't recognize the names.

I like Dylan Baker as Littlefinger

Is that official?

Sorry for the confusion, no... that is not official. Its just my hope.

Ah, that explains why I could not find any news on it :).  I have been keeping an eye on Martin's website and he hinted that there is some news that may come out at a convention he is attending.  Apparently the Hollywood Reporter got one part of it - Catelyn Stark has been cast.

Yes, I know this is a very old thread but the series starts 4/17/11.

In other news...
