Re: HD-DVD International DVD List -

Just a FYI, Stalingrad (Enemy at the Gates) will not play on a first gen (A1, XA1) with firmware 2.0 installed. I do not know about any of the other Fox Pathe titles but I have asked Amir and he is looking into it.

is that true ?
no titles to buy, and if there is something interesting it will not play

well it seems that my blu-ray collection is going to be far far away in numbers compare to hd dvd collection hmm

Re: HD-DVD International DVD List -

My UK import of Harry Potter & The Goblet of Fire HD DVD played flawlessly on my A1 with 2.0 firmware...

Re: HD-DVD International DVD List -

Yes, let me clarify so no one overreacts. The Uk disc of Harry Potter plays fine. Every other import I have (and I have a bunch, just look up my list) plays fine. Only the first wave of Fox Pathe titles won't play on the first gen Toshibas with 2.0 installed.

Marek, there's no need to for that jab. I understand your Blu-ray collection will grow and that's fine but there's no need to over-generalize the problem with one studio to imply all imports.

I agree with you completely. I have had no issues with my imported disks up to now, but have had some issues with both HD and BD disks from time to time. This is to be expected.

Neither side has been free of disks that just won't play on certain players. This is true with every new format introduced, and I am certain, what ever the problem is, it will be rectified.

I do love that promo....This is Now. Catchy.

5th Element...surely this means this one will be better authored than the initial BD release. Although Sony is going to re-release a BD version...

I certainly hope it is a better source. Even though I am not a fan of Sony, I have to admit that they have seemed to turn their quality around for the better. Here's hoping that Sony re-releases a new BD of FE soon.

Re: HD-DVD International DVD List -

Looks like UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTIONS has finally gotten released.

Word on the street is that it exceeds the video quality of the USA BD version.

Audio is a DD+ track and when compared to the PCM BD tracks, the difference was negligible.

I see dvdgo is allowing orders as they are currently out of stock... I am awaiting xploited cinema to receive there's...

Re: HD-DVD International DVD List -
