So Apparently I Have 65,535 Unread Private Messages...

I just had to point this out..



Don't know what the heck happened.. all I know is I haven't had any new private messages in nearly 4 years and that flashing letter at the top is getting annoying.

Any help is appreciated.

I have 65,531 private messages. Where will i find the time to read them all?

Is this just me or is it for everyone?

Someone should make that old thread a sticky...since it comes up every few months.

Or, better yet, maybe just a short announcement stuck at the top of this sub-forum would be a big help. Just an idea.

Due to what must have been a rift in the space/time continuum, my PMs this afternoon also went wacky and told me I had 65,535 unread messages, etc.

So, I had to seek out this thread (to which I've directed a number of other HTFers) to remember how to undo the strangeness.

It sure does seem like a reasonable thread to make a sticky for just such occasions, no? Or maybe an announcement of some sort?

EDIT** In another fit of weirdness, I had to actually go and select every single page of PMs and then click on "Mark as read" in order to eliminate the flashing icon. The "Select all PMs" box didn't do it for me.

Select all messages worked for me. I'd say this is worth a sticky.
