Own the 14 disc set. Called for my mailer around mid January. Got my mailers last of January with wrong name/address. Shipped my discs off on Feb, 6th with a note including correct name/address. Got the corrected replacements Feb, 19th with correct name/address.

Got my 2 replacement discs together with a return mailer (I'm in Sweden so they skipped the part of me having to ship them to get the new ones). I have got to say they did not get one letter or number wrong on the name and address. Guess I didn't come off sounding like the Swedish Chef on the Muppet Show (much)...

I called WB this morning to check on the status of my replacement disks. The girl said that they were shipped out on the 2nd and that it would take 3-4 weeks for them to get here. She also said that if they don't arrive by this Friday, I can call and they'll re-ship them.

I remember reading in earlier posts that some guy's disks were also shipped out on the 2nd. I was wondering if they had arrived yet.

That is cool. Still waiting on my discs. Sent mine off about Jan 15th or so. I might call them tomorrow. I did get my posters today, though. Thing is, my Superman Returns poster was a "own it on dvd on november 28th" or whenever poster that looks like the dvd. Not the original poster, but for 5.88, I'm happy with the posters for parts 1 and 2. If I hang one for Returns it will likely be the teaser poster that I also own.



Update on March 1st.

I would suggest that anyone who hasn't gotten their discs yet, call the number and make sure they have shipped. I called today and the lady said they had shipped some out on February 2nd, as some of you have posted. However, she said that the order did not go through (whatever that means) and they would ship them again this week, though she said she didn't know which day. She said they should arrive within 2-3 weeks.

Ugh. So disappointing this news is. I bought the set early on thinking I would get them quickly, but this is getting ridiculous. I hope you all get your discs soon.

I live in Canada, I sent my discs on Feb. 23 and recieved the new ones on Feb. 27. Now thats service.

Yes!!! I got my replacements in today!!! So it looks like I might receive a second set of replacements here in a couple of weeks since I had them re-ship it to me.

I'll let you guys know when I get them and if anyone's interested.

I finally got my discs as well. Once the mix up of them not being shipped had been fixed, it didn't take any time at all. Glad to finally have the complete, corrected set.

I am on my third set of discs that were supposed to have been shipped, but never were. So here I sit, on hold for the FOURTH time, waiting to see where my damn discs are. The irony is that they're being shipped out from Oxnard, which is about an hour away from where I live.

And, oh, this gets even better-- each time I've called this afternoon, I've been disconnected. Is there an email address to contact customer service?

I have got an update as well.

I live in Glasgow, Scotland and sent an email about 6 weeks ago to Warner and have not heard anything.

An UK DVDForum member who had a double set of replacement kindly sent me the discs.

I got one from their last brief stint of availability and it had both defective discs so it must have been old stock.

I called on 3/13 and yesterday I received copies of the same bad discs I got when I bought the original with no return mailer! The cover art of both discs is the same as my originals. I popped the SM3 disc in and it had no 5.1 sound just the movie, trailer and 2.0 sound. Both SMTM discs have DD5.1, DD2.0, French, Audio Commentary. Both discs have the same menues. Is it possible my new SMTM is correct? I have not had time to do a listen test yet. What do you think?

Better listen to the STM disc before you make any calls. If you're lucky it is just the S3 disc that is incorrect. If the 2.0 on STM sounds similar to the 5.1 then there seems to have been a mix-up with the exchanges. Hopefully this is a rare occurance.

I just tried to play my replacement disc of STM, and it's defective. Looking closely, there's a visible 'dimple' about 1/3 of the way from the center. Gaaahh! I'm so over this set. Guess it's back to the 800 number...

I just got the UK Superman 1 set. Sent in my disc 1 to be replaced and got the replacement today. Could someone verify that the replacement discs have different disc art than the originals?!? Seems strange, and also the '1' identifying the disc number is now in a different type face to the original disc '2' number?!?

I got my mailer today and sent my discs off. Did anyone else notice the awesome method in which the envelopes are "pre-paid?"

I had to read the enclosed letter to make sure it was pre-paid. They didn't affix any postage nor is there any of the pre-printed "postage paid" stuff you'll normally find on a pre-paid envelope.

I was sorta worried about the lack of any postage and I was like "well, worst-case scenario it comes back to the return address tomorrow" and then I realized that the return address and the mailing address were identical. They're addressed to different ATTN's (I think the return was something generic like "Warner Home Video" whereas the mailing address was "Superman Disc Change Program" or something like that)

Anyways, my point is that the mailer goes into the mailbox with no postage on it whatsoever and as a result of this IT'S "RETURNED" TO THE RETURN ADDRESS WHICH IS WARNER BROS.

That's gotta be some sort of mail fraud. I don't care as long as I get my discs, but still.

My envelope came with a stamp. I can't remember if I had to affix it or if it was already done but there was definitely a stamp with sufficient postage. I remember it was green. :-D

You're right about the return address being the same as the mailing address, though. Not a bad idea in case something goes wrong -- they'll still get your discs.

Yeah I wasn't too worried about it because I know it's the kind of thing where they'll send you your discs anyway after a certain amount of time even if they get lost.

If I don't get the replacements in a while I'll call and complain. I waited until March to get a DVD set that was released in November so I can wait a little while longer.

Not in Oz but check if it works with this: 0011-1-800-553-6937.
The 0011 is needed if you want to phone someone in the US.

You'll laugh at this. No, really, you will.

I live in the UK. I was going to buy the Superman 14-discer when it was released but decided against it when I heard about the bad discs. Anyway, not wishing to get stung with a bad set and no way to replace the discs I decided to do things in reverse. I decided to get the replacement discs BEFORE buying the set!

So, on 19th March I e-mailed Warners (warner@unigistix.com) - informed them I had a faulty set - and asked them to send replacements. I figured that IF the replacements arrived I'd go and import the rest of the set.

Well... bugger me... the replacements arrived today!

The irony is that the original set is no longer available and my plan is now to buy the fixed set when it's released in May! It's a good plan too because, boy, are these replacements discs scuffed!

Anway... if any of you guys are outside the US my tip to you is to e-mail Warners at the above address and you should get your new discs in about 2-3 weeks! Good, eh?

I finally received my replacements DVDs after waiting for almost 2 months.

As an international customer, I must say I am impressed that Warners are doing replacements for us as well - long wait notwithstanding.

To all of you who already got your relacement disc for SUPERMAN, have you checked abouth the supposedly botched-up 2.0 surround mix that it is being commented on this other thread?

Apparently, the previously missing 2.0 mix has the center channel wrongly sent to ALL speakers, as warned here. Is that right?

I saw that thread too. As far as I can hear, the dialog seems firmly in the center channel through Dolby Pro-Logic processing as it should be. It's not beyond the realm of probability that a running correction was made during disc production and some went out with a botched 2.0 soundtrack.
