This 'process' has become quite frustrating. I have gone through the process of calling in and receiving the assurance of getting a call-back within 24 hours. Naturally, this did not happen. I then proceeded to call them to verify that they hadn't called me and give them my particulars. They took it and once again assured me that I would receive my mailers in the first shipment. My mailers were about 5 days later than others but OK, I don't live in Cal..I then turned it around and sent them my originals the next day. Now I've called them 3 times in a row, each time getting another story. The first two times assuring me that they were already sent to me. Today they simply said that they hadn't gotten around to sending anyone anything yet. I snickered, knowing through this forum that that was a lie or at the very least a 'line'...I was then transferred to the 'enforcer' who threatened to not send me anything if I wasn't a 'good boy' and did not 'talk'. He claimed he was sending out about a 1000 replacements per day (different from the line I got from the csr) and if I didn't hassle him he would ship me the replacements on the next opportunity. I asked him if he had a record of my originals and he claimed he didn't.

This program has become a fiasco and is being mismanaged by beligerant bullies who don't know the concept of customer service. The idea that they would think they needed to use intimidation tactics to cover their incompetence and do me the favor of sending me the replacements on a program that was recognized as a foul up by corporate shows that they are overwhelmed by the response and haven't recovered from this snafu. I truly hope to get my discs sometime soon...sigh. Warner has not endeared themselves to this consumer in the handling of this 'process'. I'm glad others had much better experiences but thought it my obligation to show my displeasure at their attitude if not their confused state.

I got my replacements yesterday. What's odd is I only sent in the "Superman III" disc but I got both the corrected version of that AND of disc 1. I'm not complaining, I was just surprised. The audio issue didn't bug me that much to send it in for replacement but I took the old one out of the box and put the corrected one in along with Supes III so now my set is complete.

Did anyone else only send in one disc but ended up getting both as well?

Still waiting for a mailer for these, 40 days after my phone call to Warner's. I'm in Canada, where customer service apparently does not matter.

Somebody should call WHV Canada or something. I guess I'll be patient/lazy for now, but I'm starting to get tired of waiting...

Maybe next week I'll call, if we haven't heard anything new before then.

Are Warners sending these replacement discs out securely in jewel cases to prevent scratching/damage?

They are in sleeves and sent in a cardboard envelope. Very easy for a mail person to damage if they wanted to.

Okay, well then for those like me that haven't bought the set yet, it's not really an option any more. Fingers crossed the new sets hit stores sooner rather than later.

John H Ross, I received my replacement discs in the sleeves from the other side of the country and mine arrived in pristine shape. No scratches, nothing. If they wanted to, I'm sure a mailman can go at them with a hammer, but otherwise, the cardboard envelope is small, thin, and relatively sturdy so it's not likely to bend or get too banged up in the mail unless someone went out of their way to give them hell

Mine arrived in good shape as well. I told my wife I was glad they weren't cracked though, as we have had quite a few arrive from Netflix damaged. This of course is sturdier than their envelopes. We just get aggressive mail people a lot and my point was that they could possibly get damaged if you had a mailman in a bad mood.

Called WB on November 27th.

Received mailer on December 19th.

Mailed discs on December 20th.

New discs arrive today January 06.

40 days total from start to finish.

Sent discs back on 12/19, still waiting... it's going to be a happy day when these arrive. Just in time to be watched on the projector that should be here any day now.

I sent my discs in on 12/21/06 and received the replacements on 1/5/07.

I didn't realize just how different the original Superman: The Movie soundtrack was until I popped in the new DVD on Friday night and compared the two. I did see it several times when I was younger (both in the theater as well as on VHS, cable TV, and TV) but I guess it's been so long that my memories of the original sound have faded. I honestly think I like the 2000 mix better but I love the fact that I can now choose to listen to the original sound mix if I want to.

Finally today I recieved both pre-paid mailers and the DVD's are going back tomorrow. I'll update once I get the new discs!

My discs arrived today (1/8) after mailing on 12/23, a little over 2 weeks, which isn't bad considering I had 3 or 4 days of mail delays due to Colorado blizzards.

Called Warner Home Video on Dec 27, 2006. Received 1 white mailer today Jan. 8, 2007. I will be mailing out tomorrow. So far the turn around has been quick. I have no complaints yet. Keep up the good work Warner Bros.

Considering they decided to treat us as international customers and Warner's Canada apparently want's nothing to do with us, I can't understand why any of us canadians would be slightly bitter

Question: Has anybody here just done the return only for the 4-disc original Superman set? If so, does the artwork on the replacement disc match the disc from that set, or are all the replacements using the artwork from the 14-disc set?

I've just picked up the 4-discer and am calling for a mailer this week, but am just curious as to what I'm going to get back.

Missing audio aside, it is a pretty cool set. The vintage doc and the cartoons alone are worth the upgrade.

My replacement discs were waiting for me when I got home last night. Didn't get to watch Superman I with the original audio, but I did watch all of the Superman III deleted scenes which were, shall we say, interesting..

My favorite release of 2006 is now complete, I'm very happy...thanks to Warner for taking care of this quickly and honestly.

I'm just having trouble getting anyone on the number. First I called and waited for about 30 minutes with the "please continue to hold....all our operators are busy serving other customers..." then I looked at the forum again and saw it was Monday-Friday. So I'm trying it again on a Tuesday and it's been about 30 minutes.... ugh.... same message.

I guess I'll continue to wait.

PS, guess another 10 minutes did the trick. Finally got someone, and will get my mailer.
