Dave,
The A35 is capable of bitstreaming Dolby True HD and DTS Master HD lossless to a receiver.

Mmmmmm, thats good to know Shane thanks for the information. I might just pick that player up eventually. First I want to get a receiver, then to upgrade my Sony BDP-S300 and then a 1080p HDTV. Then I can think about a HD-A35 so I can get the most out of my HD-DVD collection.

Robert,

Doesn't the new Panasonic BD30K blu-ray player output 7.1 channel surround via the HDMI output? Also, is the BD30K compatible with the Onkyo 905,when you tell it to process s Hd sound track on a BR disk does it display that on the onkyo, for instance does it show true hd when you play a true hd sound format on the disk? I believe The Pirates of the Caribbean at Worlds End is coming out on blu-ray in 7.1 channel surround in Dec. Welcome aboard Robert!

Thanks,
Richard Ringenbach

Robert, can you discuss Toshiba's plans for future HD-DVD players, viz. the XA3 (if it does exist)? Can you also please discuss feature sets of these future players?

Of the HD-A3, HD-A30, HD-A35 - which would you consider the best? I'm looking to get in on to the HD market and there is a website offering these three players in a sale and I'm not sure which would be the best.

Any thoughts on that 65'' DLP from Mitsubishi that's out? (and is going on a super sale)
