Harry Potter set for UK release on HD-DVD 11/20

Has any one heard whether or not this release dat is accurate? If so, I have not heard a release date for the US.

I think on french amazon it was moved to 6th december

Well.... It's real and it has been shipped....

Should have it by the 27th at the latest....

It is up for order at the Amazon UK site..... and if you check for new and used, there was a person in florida that had a new copy for sale...

my will be here monday or tuesday.....
on avs forum it has been confirmed that it's US disc with DolbyTrueHD in UKcover

No problem Thomas, I hope it will go around customs othewise I have to wait two more days , arrivall date is set to 27th november....

I hope those on AVS were right about info on disk...

HP4 just arrived......, will test it soon.....

on back and front cover, there are UK marks ........

AUDIO on back cover

- DoblyTrueHD 5.1 english
- DD+ english and french and spanish

subtitles same as dd+

IME

it really seems like US edition.......

will put it in soon, so I will be able to confirm those specs..

Audio: Dolby TrueHD: English 5.1 / Dolby Digital +: English 5.1, French 5.1, Spanish 5.1

Extras:
In-Movie Experience

This looks like a complete port of the 2 disc SD version with the exception of the IME.

This is the USA cut of the film....

just tested few minutes.....

PICTURE looks like FIRST CLASS, among top picutres I saw... like KK or BB,
AUDIO - dolbytrueHD is just amazing,,,.........

and yes it's US version, classic FBI logo warnig is at the begining...

Ordered "Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" [HD DVD] from Amazon.co.uk for £16.59.

Could someone please tell me how much £16.59 is when converted to United States Dollars?

FYI: It was shipped via DHL Express and the estimated arrival date is 29-November-2006.

""Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire" (HD DVD) arrived in California yesterday morning via DHL from London.

What a great transfer of the film! The movie seems to be much clearer than what I remember seeing in the theater. Kept on looking at the detail of the furniture and props that made the atmosphere settings. Also, the fine detail of the costumes. Even the CGI effects are extraordinarily detailed in this transfer.

Edit: Also have to mention that the additional choice of the 5.1 English Dolby True HD - 96Khz-24bit track makes the movie experience striking!

I received my copy of Goblet of Fire from Amazon.co.uk yesterday. First tier HD DVD transfer, and a terrific supplement set. Overall, a first rate disc.

For those waiting for the US release, I have heard that it is possible this may be pushed to 4th Q '07. I can't say the reason, and this info is very tentative, but I did not hesitate to spend the extra few dollars to get a copy while I could. Take that for what it is.

Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. With the online tutorial help from good buddy HTF Larry Sutliff, I just placed my order for Harry Potter & The Goblet Of Fire! I'm pretty excited actually. What is it about buying HD movies that makes me a bit more giddy than usual? I do realize I have issues

Here's hoping my copy shows up this week. There has been a lot of Potter on TV recently, including a showing of the second movie on ABC Family which included behind-the-scenes footage from HP & the Order of the Phoenix. It is going to be a long wait for that one!

Watched GOF last night. For what it's worth, the UK HD DVD is the U.S. version, complete with FBI warning and "Rated PG-13" slide before the film. The packaging is UK though. Excellent transfer!

HD is immune from PAL & NTSC concerns.

This is not true. You could have HD with PAL or NTSC speed. As a matter of fact, I was reading a specialized magazine here which was talking about a movie transferred to HD-DVD in 25fps.
