Multi-quote

For whatever reason, every time I use multi-quote it won't copy the last quote to the reply window if it's the most current post in the thread.

Re: Multi-quote

Adam: I've never had that problem. I just tried to recreate the problem and couldn't do it.

If I click on multi-quote for posts x, y, & z in a thread (with z being the last one) and then click on "quote" for x, I get (in order) x, y & z in the text box.

If I click on multi-quote for posts x, y, & z in a thread (with z being the last one) and then click on "quote" for z, I get (in order) z, x & y in the text box.

But, each time, I get the most recent post to be included in the quote parade.

I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.7 on Windows XP.

Re: Multi-quote

I just tried one last time and had this result:

I went to the SNL: Season 1 thread in Software/TV and clicked "multi-quote" on the last four posts (w, x, y, z). I then clicked the "quote" on x and got all four posts listed in the text box in this order: x, w, y, z.

Sorry I can't be of more help. That's a head scratcher.

Re: Multi-quote

I tried again (on a different computer in a different building also using IE6) by turning multiquote on for both of your posts. Only your first post copied to the reply window.

Parker will probably check in and figure it out.

Damn it, Adam. I fired up IE6 on my home computer--something I haven't done since doing a new install of Windows XP back in January. I actually had to enter my HTF User name and password to get here.

I came to this thread...fire up the multi-quotes on each post in this thread. I went to Post #1 and pressed "quote"...and you can see what happened. They all came up...including the last post!

I also tried clicking multi-quote on all the posts...and clicking "quote" on the last post. Everything was the same...except that the last post was ordered first.

Now I really don't know what to tell you.

Re: Multi-quote

Perhaps there was an ancient curse that was placed on my family line that prevents multiquote from working on the most recently posted post selected..?

Re: Multi-quote

You just may be on to something there. Did you have a great-great uncle that really pissed off Bartlett (of Bartlett's Quotations)?

Hmm...I didn't write the script but it has always worked well for me.

Re: Multi-quote

Must be the curse thing then, Adam.

Works for me and Parker.
Our families, though--it is well-known--are curse free.
