Looks like a nice setup to me. IMO, you will get diffusion from the RSs but still having it be a single source, it would still be somewhat directional. I'm not sold on no center. I like having 3 identical speakers across the front.

I'd probably go with three identical across the front too, it's just not feasible for me. I may still yet at least try the DeVore center, but it's just not a priority for me.

I talked with Danny yesterday and he's certainly not lacking in confidence about his product(s), lol. When I first saw the RS model, I thought the description was indicating they were good for rears, as in rears of a 7.1 system, but not ideal for the side surrounds. Seems like those who are actually using them all around are indicating they are in fact good for both.

I wouldn't have heard of GR-Research when I did if not for your earlier posts about their stuff, so I thank you for that I'll let you know how it works out if I throw a few of them up in back once I move into the new place.

Yeah, I sure did...Danny was telling me that I shouldn't listen to them cause if I do I'll be mad that I bought the DeVores, lol. I'm sure his stuff is very good, but that's just not going to happen

That's what I told HIM when he asked if I wanted to audition a pair of Diluceos back when I bought mine... "If I listen to those, I will want them and never be satisfied until I can afford them..."

Re: Paradigm 20's v 60's

lol...too funny.... and I honestly do believe him that there are people who drop their $5k and 10k speakers to go with his....I don't think it's a common occurance, but I don't doubt that it happens from time to time. But my current speakers are so absolutely perfect for MY particular audio tastes, that it would be really hard for me to believe that any of his offerings would be any MORE perfect, lol. I went out and listened to so many speakers before I found my current pair that it's ridiculous....I think if there was another pair out there that could come close to giving me what I get from my Super 8s, it would probably be the Salk HT-3s. I've not heard them, but just based on all that I've read from people who bought them, they seem to be characterizing them very similarly to the way I do my DeVores. The drawback is that they are a 3-way floorstander, which I tend to not prefer, particularly when I'm about to go into a smaller room in a couple months. To take nothing away from Dennis Murphy and his excellent crossover designs, the only times I've found larger 3-ways to be appealing was when they were in large rooms.

But hey, I know there is always something bigger and better out there, but in my case, and in terms of what I want out of my system, I think I got ahead of the curve
