New HT room almost finished

I'm almost embarrased to post these after seeing all the awesome theaters that have been built. We bought a new house back in April and I finally got to put together a new HT room. The house cost a lot more than originally planned so the theater was built on a tight budget. Fortunately I already had most of the equipment. All work was done by myself with the help from a good friend. We had no experience in this area so I was pleasantly surprised that it turned out as good as it did. Sorry for the crappy pics, they were taken with my phone, lol.

Equipment consists of:

Epson TW700 projector w/ homemade screen
Toshiba HDA1 HDDVD player
Pioneer 84VSXTi receiver
Axiom M60's, VP150, Qs4's Qs8's
Dish Hi Def receiver
Xbox 360
Denon CD player
Monster HTS5100 power conditioner
SVS PB12/2+ sub tuned to 16 hz
Behringer DSP1124p eq
2 Buttkicker LFE's

Here's the before build pic. The room measures 11x22. Not the best dimensions but it will have to do.


Here's a pic of the stage mostly finished. It has been filled w/ sand and decoupled from all walls to reduce vibration.


Front stage almost complete.


Rear riser almost finished. It has been filled w/ insulation to reduce resonancies and decoupled from walls as well.


Concessions area. I have decided to add a window in the bar for candy viewing.

Travis,
Well since no one else has commented, let me be the first to say that you and your friend should be proud of the room. Nice Job!

Thank you. The next house we purchase will be built and I can have a lot more choice in the design. This one wasn't optimal but it sure beat the living room HT in the old house.

I think you did an excellent job. You may not be experienced, as you put it, but it looks like you did your homework.

Your theater looks great! I wish I had a 22' foot long room! You and your friend did a wonderful job, enjoy it!

Looks good man.

I wanted the rope lighting for the step on my platform, but never got around to it.
