i picked up the album today and it is unbelevible. The type of riffs that the guitars do sound very technical and difficult to do. "Again We Rise" and "Pathetic" are my favorite songs so far. I was a tad concerned when i heard 'redneck' on headbangers ball that they had gone soft and made something more radio friendly, but thankfully the entire album is full and heavy as shit. If you're a fan, and or think you can handle the growling/screaming, pick it up. I got the version with the dvd but i haven't had the chance to watch it yet. But its a 90 minute documentary about the making of the record. Also has 2 versions of the "Redneck" video.

Re: New Lamb of God "Sacrament" Great stuff!
I'm still warming up to the album. It's definitely "Lamb of God", but so far I don't like it as much as "Ashes of the Wake". I only started listening to these guys about 6 months ago after borrowing said album from a co-worker. I only became aware of them after hearing that they co-headlined "Sounds of the Underground" with one of my absolute favorite bands - CLUTCH!!That said, I watched the documentary last night and it was very well done and a very interesting watch. I was expecting some really amateur horeshit, but it was nothing like that at all. I would definitely recommend watching it.

Re: New Lamb of God "Sacrament" Great stuff!
I meant to post this yesterday. If you have a chance check out Refused: The Shape of Punk to come...for some reason I hear quite a bit of Lamb of God in them, or vice versa. They are a different sound but there is a lot of similarity in the basic sound.
Surprisingly BB carries this Refused in both DVD-A and CD.

I saw these guys for the first time Wednesday night! What a killer show. First of all, the lineup was great: Machine Head, Trivium, and Lamb of God. LOG crushed it. I haven't stopped listening to Sacrament since!- Ryan L. Bisasky

Re: New Lamb of God "Sacrament" Great stuff!
I was at the show monday night in DC, that place was packed with as much people as they could physically fit into the building. Gojira was really good. The pits looked insane from the balcony. (cause i'm too pussy to get in there with the crazies) Also, every band got a chant of their name at least twice each, which is very rare. i nearly blew out my voice during Lamb of God's set. Randy really impressed me with his precence and that he could pull off the deep growls without it sounding forced.

I was on the floor with the crazies. I just stayed out of the way, and pushed people back into the circle. At certain points in certain songs, you couldn't watch the band, you had to keep your eyes on the crowd in front of you so you didn't get blindsided. It was fun though.Home Theater Forum › Home Theater Forum › Entertainment › Music › New Lamb of God "Sacrament" Great stuff!
