According to the above posting on the Warner Archive Facebook page, they all but come out and say that it's a go for Season 1 of ALICE. This is great news for those of us who prefer to own physical media (S1 has been available as a digital download for some time now). Because of the many songs Linda Lavin performed on the show, it also gives hope that other sitcoms with music issues such as MAMA'S FAMILY and IT'S A LIVING do stand some chance of showing up later.

This would be great news! I love Alice as a kid! Do remember Flo leaving for her own show and it was not very successful. I have Barney Miller on dvd and there are few episodes with Linda Lavin as undercover cop.

Fabulous. Although, I doubt it will make it past the first season. It hasn't been widely available in syndie for so long that a lot of younger consumers won't know much, if anything, about this show. I'd be happy if they'd at least make the series available for Video On Demand. At least the early Flo seasons. I also loved Dianne Ladd's brief tenure as Belle.

Well David, I do hope you're wrong and being a MOD release, the seasons will keep coming. And I too, loved the Belle episodes.

Still willing to purchase season sets. I just hope they continue past season 1.

I want to buy ALICE season 1 and beyond... I think they should sell both Season 1 and Season 2 right from the start only because Season 1 has been available as a download for a while now and sales for season 1 could be small due to that... I would buy Season 1 + 2 asap.

Warner Archive has Season 1 available as of today. I love how they used the Season 1 font instead of the more familiar S4-onwards font that was on the Best-of release. Hopefully this sells and they keep rolling them out fast. This is one of the most long-overdue releases ever.

This is really great news... any chance amazon may be stocking it soon? I would love to use my prime shipping on it and I noticed they sometimes stock the Warner Archive titles.

I'm going to wait on this one for a bit although since its from the stronger early part of the run, it's one of those titles I should get eventually for the nostalgia factor. The Sunday night CBS sitcom lineup in those days (and hearing the promos in all the NFL games) was a big staple of my youth!
I think this and "The FBI" hold the distinction of being the longest running series Warner has in their vaults at nine seasons so obviously the sooner it gets started the better in terms of seeing the whole run make it.

I checked this morning but didn't see it on Amazon yet. Anyway, all the other movies I've bought from WA have been way overpriced on Amazon for the first little while, so I just ordered it from WA.

I can't wait to get this. All I can say is FINALLY!
I'd rather wait and get this on amazon but there seems to be a delay in getting the WAC titles, especially those that are actually WB. Other titles from WAC that aren't WB like Son'y Starman seem to show up quicker and usually cheaper than on WAC. I'm thinking probably WAC wants to have control over their own titles and prices for as long as possible.

This is great news. I'll buy it as soon as Amazon makes it available,
hopefully soon, and also hope we also hear about another season too.

I couldn't hold back any longer I went ahead and ordered Alice Season 1 from Warner Archive and paid for the overnight shipping. I'm way too impatient.

Please provide your feedback on the quality. The set is not available in Canada as WB archive does not shipped to Canada. However, Archives typically become available in Canada two months later.

I will.... I have a feeling the quality of the image should be on par with what we have seen thru iTunes just pressed on disc... I could be wrong. Just thrilled we can finally purchase this season. I really hope it sells well. This is the first Warner Archive Title I have purchased direct from them.

Amazon shows that this will be available soon and it is now showing the price. It costs $10.00 more than at the warner archive site. It's $39.99 at amazon. I am eager to buy this, but may want to wait for a sale or something. I have waited for ages, so I can wait a bit longer. Still the $29.99 price at WA is not too bad of a price, but I am not sure what the shipping is?
I am so used to getting these series sets for less, just by being patient and not buying them right when they come out. Many times you can save at least 30% off of the initial price just by waiting.

Cool found the link...

It isn't a bad price... if you have PRIME and want it asap. Sounds like they could have some stock soon. My order for overnight should hopefully ship out today from Warner Archive and I paid 48.23 w/ shipping and tax. But then again I am too impatient to wait any longer and want it for the weekend.
