Profile pic help

I uploaded a NEW and better profile pic, but my old one seems to be staying and I'm not getting my new pic to show up(off to the side) but it shows up in the gallery and in my profile pic options menu.

John,

The thing on the left, below your name next to posts is the "Avatar". Not the "Profile Picture".

Where is the one you want there? If it doesn't work for you, I could give it a try!

I don't even see where an avatar setup is. I thought profile pic was another term for it, so I assumed.
Help would be appreciated.

The pic I want is in the profile pic gallery.

I don't even know how I got this avatar.

Yes, the picture below your name is your profile picture. You are using the correct term.

The profile picture in your profile is what is showing up under your username.

I appreciate the help, and hate to be a pain, but my profile pic seems to be stuck.
I upload a new profile pic, and it still won't switch over to the new one.

I am still seeing what you have in you have uploaded as your profile picture. I always clear my browser's cache when I close out my browser. It may be that when you upload a new picture you need to clear your browser's cache and see if the image updates then.

Parker:

I don't see anyone's profile pics on either of the two computers I use to read the HTF. Is there a reason for this? I only saw them for a few days after they premiered...then they went away forever. (Maybe it's a setting on my end?)

Not that I'm complaining because I don't really like them. It's just that they get refered to so often, I am constantly reminded that I am missing something that everyone else seems to see.

EDIT** To quote Emily Litella: "Never mind". Just read your explanation in your own "clarification" thread. I never turned my profile pic option "off"...but maybe somebody did it for me!
