They wouldn't release it like that. if they can fit 6 silents on 3 discs it makes more sense because they're not very lengthy in time. my idea is better

yeah those were probably the best of the bunch. the sandpiper was awful, but i still want the set being that i'm a liz taylor fan.

I wouldn't write them off yet. WB still hasn't said what they'll be releasing in the last 2 weeks of November and December. We still have the results from the DVD Decision (which we should hear about this month), Harlow, Esther Williams, Spencer Tracy, and the Pre-Code set which I'm hoping has more than just the 3 listed titles.

I don't think the Harlow or pre-code boxsets have been cancelled. It is my understanding that Feltenstein made these comments years ago before Warner really jumped on the classic bandwagon. Look how long its taken them to get to Newman & Brando. I think their market research has clearly shown that there is a market for classic stars other than Bogart & Monroe. True, Harlow never made a stand out film like "His Girl Friday" or "It Happened one Night," .......but you can only accomplish so much by age 26.
