I have a 55'' mits rptv 3 yrs old i noticed i now have a color change to my set where the black bars on the side would be the color of the picture is lighter and the middle looks like a yellow tint Help???

GreetingsBurn in ... put up a white field and see if there is a distinct change on both sides ...
No repair solution short of replacing the CRTs.
Watching in 16:9 mode from now on may reduce the intensity over time.

as said, check uniformity with a white field at various %.Have you been running the set at the original settings? If so, quite possible you have burn in. That's why one calibrates a display and significantly lowers white level.

Thanks for reply, i 99% of the time watch in 16:9 streched if i have to because i've know about burn-in since before owning tv i also set bthe tv utilizing set up dvd to best settings can it be something else???
