We just got my wife a Honda CRV that came XM ready, so (I assume unless someone knows otherwise) we are going to need to get a Sportster for her to have Sirius in the car. It's a lease, so I'm not interested in replacing the head unit.
Does anyone know when XM's exclusive agreement with Honda ends? I'm sure that with Sirius's growth and XM's weaker numbers during the same period (see the 2006 2nd quarter thread), Honda would want to give customers a choice when the contract runs out.
My Accord is showing it's age, so I'd like to repalce it in a year or two, but would love to have a Sirrius receiver in place when I drive it home. And, if Honda is listening, I'm not opposed to getting a VW Passat instead just because I do have the Sirius option with them.
So - anyone know for sure? Thanks.
