I have a new obsession these days....Paltalk.
A few months ago I first learned of Paltalk through the Opie
and Anthony show. Seems that the boys were broadcasting
both their CBS and XM show via webcams on the Paltalk service.
So, for $60 a year (which allows full motion video), I subscribed
to the Paltalk service and suddenly, I am obsessed.
Not only do you have the opportunity to watch and listen to
the entire O&A show via two webcams in the studio, but you
also suddenly find yourself surrounded by devoted listeners who
are broadcasting via webcam from their computer.
Using Paltalk has greatly enhanced the Opie & Anthony listening
experience. It's exciting being in a video chatroom with other fans
who are constantly commenting on show events as they are broadcast.
Furthermore, if you are lucky enough, you'll have the pleasure of a
few "WOW" moments from many of the hot women who frequent the chatroom.
What I think I most appreciate about this Paltalk experience is
that Opie and Anthony regularly interact with the people who
frequent the chatroom. During commercial breaks (which are also
broadcast on the feed) it is not uncommon to find the boys
typing away or talking with Paltalk members. It's very unusual
to find that a radio show interact with its fanbase in this manner,
and is certainly something you won't find on any similar show
of its kind.
It's also the opportunity for $60 a year to get a live feed of the
XM show without having to pay for XM -- though I warn that the
audio/video is strictly limited to live activity within the studio and
that viewers cannot hear callers or taped bits.
...and before someone even suggests this, no, I am not making
a dime off of Paltalk to entice you to join that service. I'm a
loyal O&A listener and I subscribed to the service out of my own
pocket.
Couldn't be happier!
