Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

According to Ausiello over at TV Guide.com, Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Kristen Bell
is up for a role next season.

EDIT: According to TV Guide again, Bell passed on the role to do some work on Broadway.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

So, what was going to be the deal with KB on L? Spill the beans, you keens.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

Kristin Bell WON'T be on Lost.
She was going to be, but turned it down, cause she didn't want to live in Hawaii.

She WILL be on Heroes however(as a bad hero)

I don't think that's been stated. In fact, Kirsten commented on this question in an EW interview (fairly minor spoilers)

What can you tell us about your role?
[Elle] comes in with a bang. She's a bit of a criminal in the beginning. I'm not even sure if they know whether she's going to be bad or good. She has a link to H.R.G. and Peter. She becomes integral to the mystery on the show.
For those of you that didn't want to read the spoilers, the key quote was "I'm not even sure if they know whether she's going to be bad or good."

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

I like Lost, but not REALLY into it like I am with Heroes.
I'm hoping Season 4 is awesome and will bring me in more.

I guess I should re-watch season 1-3 too, to maybe brighten me up more on the show

The initial rumors pointed that she'd be
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
(copy and pasted from Lostpedia)

"A new character in episode 402 is Charlotte. Casting info: Late 20s. Very attractive in a naturalistic, athletic way, her looks are only one small part of charms. Precocious, loquacious, and funny, Charlotte a very successful academic who also knows how to handle herself in the real world. On a personal level it is hard to crack the hard shell of poise and certainty around her, but when it DOES crack it's like an egg: lots of repressed and pent up emotions spill out."

To me, that means she's one of The Others or one of the people on the freighter that were radioed at the end of last season.

And Charlotte is probably a fake name that they used on casting sheets so the real character name didn't leak out.
Normally, I don't read spoilers but right now it's almost all stuff about casting. I'll stop reading spoilers soon so I don't read any story points.

Gee...

This sounds SO familiar

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

Thanks. I couldn't rule out previously unseen castaway from that, but you may be right. It's too bad, because I'd love to have seen her on the show. Maybe she could have bunked with Kate.

When's the next season start?

Sometime in February.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

By the way, Lost was referred to in the second episode of Chuck last week. One of the secrets that is in his head is about the shooting down of Oceanic Flight 815.

I just discovered that there was another Lost podcast in late September "celebrating" the anniversary of the crash of Oceanic 815.

FYI. Jin (Daniel Dae Kim) got arrested recently for, guess what, DUI. What is up with these Losties and DUI?

I guess they have came out with an excuse for this saying that the North island is such a small island and with few people and all the press and cops around, that the ratio of them getting caught with a DUI is pretty high.
Which is a big cop out.

But I still don't understand why they don't walk, taxi or get private drivers.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

John,

A Hawaiian on the TV Guide message board indicated a couple things: speed limits are in the neighborhood of 50-55; there are vast tracts of empty highway; cops tend to sit and wait for people to speed by. Not saying drinking and driving is right, but let's look at all the circumstances.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

So I guess we know who the next big Lost death will be, don't we.

Sun's going to be available. And Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
just in time for Michael's return!

I understand that
I was just telling about what some of the Losties have said during the last DUI stop of one of their fellow cast members. Basically saying it was pretty easy to get pulled over.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

Starting Monday, ABC.com will be showing webisodes.
2-3 minute episodes known as "missing pieces"

these are to expand on the Lost universe.

those of us that feel guilty about watching these due to the WGA strike.
No worries, ABC made a special contract for these episodes.

Not a problem.
Like myself and I'm sure there are others, that I'm really feeling the Lost drought. and now with only 8 episodes coming out(thats if ABC decides to still air the 8. they still might wait untill 2009)

These webisodes will keep us happy.(for now)

There will be 13 "missing pieces"(once a week)

And it will be up to us(the fans) to decide where these missing pieces go in the storyline.

The first missing piece episode is called The Watch

here is a direct link to ABC "Missing Pieces" website

What's this now?

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

Lost season 4-6 will now be 16 episodes.
But now with the WGA strike, Lost producers only have 8 episodes to show us.
There will be a cliffhanger, but no season finale.

The cliffhanger will also be a semi cliffhanger, as the first 8 is just starting the storyline for season 4.

then that will be it until Feb 2009(or until the strike ends)

Personally, I think they should wait, like they're doing with 24

You just cant give us 8 then make us wait.
Lost needs to be done all in a row, so we don't loose anything in the storyline.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

I could be way behind in my LOST news, but I didn't think any definite information on season finale's had been released.

I thought no one was sure what was going to happen for S4 yet.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

i knew about the 16 ep season thing and it not starting till january next year.
i also know there is a strike.
i hadnt see anything about only 8 eps airing, then nothing 'till 2009.
is that certain or just a guess.
or was this stated somewere?

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

Carlton Cuse has stated from the picket line that there are only 8 episodes ready to show, and since production is shut down.
There isn't anymore to show us(with the strike of course)

here is a link to the news(even though tv.com is using the word "may")
Carlton Cuse says there is only 8 episodes to show us

Lost Season 4 news

Why not just run Season 4 and 5 starting in Oct 2008?
I can handle that.
At least we'll see the entire Season 4

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

John, okay I see where you're getting all that. There is no guarantee, however, that ABC will air the 8 complete episodes as scheduled. They may decide to hold them for fall to run with the remainder of the S4 episodes or hold them for spring 2009.

Re: Lost season 3 discussion....

well evidently, ABC is using the Webisodes, that start Monday as a Countdown to Season 4 premiere. (Feb 6th/Jan 30th is a recap-reminder show)
Unless they change their minds?

Personally, I want ABC to wait.
But if they're using the webisodes as a lead in to season 4. so be it.
But they need to wait
