Looking forward to your comparison.

I've tried both players out (never did A/B comparisons). The only thing that bothered me about the Oppo was that is seemed too soft...and the Toshiba was definitely sharper upscaled, but I saw more artifacts with it. I'm guessing this is because it was resolving more detail on the disc (compression artifacts of the disc, etc.). When a player shows more detail on a disc, you also see some of the "warts" of the disc.
