the number's not arbitrary, it's probably the maximum number of posts possible with this software. the number is 4 * (2^30) - 1.

and only a guy with a picture that mysterious could pull off more than 3 million posts per day.

I can't believe this thread got moved from "After Hours" to "HTF Feedback". Does anyone think we're seriously discussing where the 4 billion posts number came from? The thread move is even funnier than the thread itself. A bit like "The Science Forum" moving a thread about unicorns from "After Hours" to "Zoology".

With that kind of output, I propose we "verbify" his name and say anyone who has been posting a lot is really "torstenizing"...or maybe he/she has "really been on a torsten lately".

I was disappointed to see that I was only in 1394th place for number of postings...

Of greater note, Patrick Sun is 288 posts away from taking over 2nd place from Parker. So that should happen, what, about a couple of hours from now?

And as quickly (and mysteriously) as he arrived...Torsten has dropped off as the +1 poster at the HTF!

I just realized Torsten has been adding some much needed technical insight into the Star Wars OT debate going on over in Software.

Maybe the high post count had something to do with a rift in the force!

But did Patrick do it by himself. Because the HTF had such a weak steroid policy in years past, I refuse to celebrate when Patrick becomes the #2 poster of all time.

Heh, wow. Even though I had to take almost 6 months away sick, still in the top. Hell, top poster that isn't an admin

And, I joined sometime back in time. I've been making sense of all the WinD posts I have from way back in the day when we were on Delphi. Sometime I should post some of those.. HILARIOUS. The entire battle that began over what kind of cable was better and if you could tell a difference between speaker wire, including people flying back and forth to test.. that was a RIOT.
